Our parent company is Washington Bulb Company, Inc., the largest
grower of tulips, daffodils and irises in the United States.
All our bulbs are "topsize" meaning they're larger, more mature
bulbs. Each of our bulbs is packed with
more
food for more spectacular blooms. All bulbs are hand-picked,
inspected and packaged in our Skagit Valley facilities amidst
the tulip fields.
Because bulbs are living and growing, they are handled and shipped
differently from other direct mail products you may be used
to. The Tulips.Com bulb order you place now through August 31,
2008 reserves your bulbs for you until they reach maturity and
are ready to be shipped. Your prepayment holds bulbs in your
name and you are guaranteed delivery in time for fall planting.
We keep the bulbs in climate-controlled environments
until they are ready to be shipped for planting in your area.
For our friends in warmer climates, we offer delayed shipment
and pre-cooling of the bulbs, free of charge, giving
them the false sense of winter that your climate cannot provide
naturally. You may see other bulbs in your local "hardware"
store earlier than ours, so be patient because we're still caring
for your bulbs - and you're guaranteed to get them in plenty
of time for Fall planting in your geographic area. It's worth
the wait! It is incumbent upon you to plant them promptly and
properly, using advice we offer. If you use proper care but
the bulbs do not grow and produce normal blooms, we will gladly
replace or refund (one time) any item that fails to meet your
expectations. Please note that we are not responsible for losses
due to extreme weather, improper storage, delayed planting or
improper site conditions. Requests for refunds or replacement
bulbs must be received by June 30, 2009.
