Some
flowers are so perfect, so rare...
that when they are gone,
so goes the color from our lives.
Until they are remembered.
One such flower was Bernadette...
a daughter, sister, wife, aunt, friend...
who faded in full bloom.
Leaving a legacy called Roozengaarde.
"It's
been very near and dear to my heart.
A lot of it has become a reflection of me and my life."
-Bernadette Roozen Miller
In 1987, Bernadette Roozen Miller
left her career in bank management to build a dream she called
Roozengaarde.
It was Bernadette's vision that
shaped our company's retail store. It was her hands that built
it. And it was her heart and passion that nurtured its growth.
Today, Roozengaarde is still with
us, though Bernadette is not. She passed away in 1996 after
a long and courageous battle with a rare disease called amyloidosis.
It is to Bernadette... and all
the rare, young flowers who fade too soon... this web page is
dedicated.
Because of her illness, Bernadette
became an advocate for the Organ Donation program and encouraged
others to participate in this life giving program. If you are
interested in learning more about becoming an organ donor, please

Kidney Foundation for more information.
