BLOOM MAP INFORMATION:
Washington Bulb Company, the parent company of RoozenGaarde/Tulips.com, is the largest bulb grower in North America! Each year we grow over 1000 acres of tulip, daffodil, and iris flowers in the beautiful Skagit Valley, Washington! Hundreds of thousands of visitors travel to our valley each spring to witness the spectacular bloom in progress. Because we rotate the location of our fields every year and each field’s exact bloom time depends upon Mother Nature, we have developed our Bloom Map to assist our traveling flower fans in planning their scenic trips.
Individual field icons will be lit with color as that particular field comes into bloom, and will stay lit until the field is topped for the spring. Blooming tulip fields are lit in red, daffodils in yellow, and iris in blue. Click on any field icon to view names and pictures of the flower varieties planted within that particular field.
DAILY BLOOM UPDATE
RoozenGaarde Display Garden: Our 3 acre display garden has been planted with more than 1/4 million tulip, daffodil, crocus, hyacinth & iris bulbs! Unlike the past two years, we are expecting an early bloom as we already have crocuses, hyacinths, many daffodils, and even a couple of the very early tulip varieties blooming throughout the garden. We expect many more of the tulips to start showing some very nice color within a week or so… Check back early and often for updates!
Tulip, Daffodil & Iris Fields: Many of our daffodil fields are brimming with bright yellow color, and the fields planted with Dutch Master are now in full bloom! Daffodil field #11 (located on the east side of Best Rd) is especially spectacular… make sure to check it out if you are in the area! Due the unseasonably warm winter weather, this is one of the earliest daffodil blooms we have ever recorded.
All fields planted with Dutch Master and Flower Carpet – both yellow trumpet varieties – are showing color. Ice Follies is also blooming in field #21. We are eagerly awaiting the tulip fields to begin showing their colors, and expect this to happen as we enter the second half of March!!!
